School Readiness
Equipping children with the social, behavioral, and academic foundations for a successful transition to school.
Preparing for the Classroom
The transition to a formal school setting is a significant milestone for any child. Our School Readiness Program is designed to bridge the gap between intensive individual therapy and the demands of a classroom environment.
We focus on 'learning to learn' skills—such as sitting at a desk, following group instructions, staying on task, and transitions—ensuring that children have the foundation they need to thrive in a school setting.
Simulated Learning Environment
Our program creates a simulated classroom experience where children can practice academic basics alongside essential group behaviors. We work on pre-literacy, pre-math, and fine motor skills (like using scissors or holding a pencil) within a structured daily schedule.
By gradually increasing the complexity of tasks and group sizes, we help children build the stamina and self-regulation required for a full school day.
Collaborative Transition Support
We don't just prepare the child; we support the transition. Our team works with families to identify the best school placements and can provide documentation and consultation to help teachers understand your child's learning profile.
Our goal is for every child to enter school with the confidence and skills necessary to be an active, successful participant in their education journey.
